This is a total gem of a place. I see Tracey regularly and she manages my eczema to the point it often goes way completely. I’ve experienced other practitioners also and would vouch for all of the staff. The place is always well kept, super clean and they clearly have a real reverence towards their practice. I love the ambience. Plants and crystals and comfortable beds.

Erika Weber knows how to work magic! She goes beyond the acupuncture part of the treatment – she’s above all caring and focused on “what’s going on with you” which make her sessions uniquely client centered – doesn’t hurt that she has the professional training/background and experience to know what she’s doing (feel free to google her to find out what she’s all about) – I wasn’t a believer of acupuncture before as I have more of a western approach to my self-care needs but 16th acupuncture has proved me wrong. Acupuncture truly works! TRY IT!

I have been seeing Ansgar for over a year now for alopecia. Before going to him I went to several dermatologist who gave me steroid injections on my scalp for hair growth & none of it worked, the doctors told me that since that wasn’t working there wasn’t anything else they could do and my hair would most likely never grow back. I decided to try acupuncture and found Ansgar, he treated me with Chinese herbs, and within a few months my hair started growing back.
I was sooo happy with his treatment, I couldn’t believe that after all these years of going to several doctors that my hair grew back! Here are before and after pictures, my hair has now fully grown back! I highly recommend him to everyone, he is very knowledgeable, easy going, and will address any concerns you may have.
Dien received a four-year Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (M.S.T.O.M) degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Diem is also licensed in massage therapy and has completed certification to perform Facial Acupuncture protocols of the Mei-Zen cosmetic technique for facial rejuvenation.
He comes from a long tradition of practitioners. His father practiced for fifty years and owned an Herbal pharmacy in New York’s Chinatown for the past twenty years. Having been around Herbs since he was born & surrounded by Chinese medicine while growing up in the U.S., gives him a unique perspective from which to translate alternative approaches to health and well-being to the layperson.
Diem is honored to continue his family’s tradition of healing. He feels that the addition of Western diagnosis and modalities further enhances and expands the options for treatment strategies, all the meanwhile honoring the traditional concepts. This synergetic approach ensures that he will be able to carry on the tradition into the 21st century.

Dr. Diem Truong did a fantastic job talking me through what was going on with the lower back issues I’ve been having. He had a gentle touch with the needles and that was much appreciated. Great massage afterwards to go along with advice on how to move and exercise in the future. Feeling so much better after the treatment. They also had a 15% off deal for first-time patients.
I highly recommend Dr. Truong if you’re having any lower back, shoulder, and neck issues.
This is hands down the BEST acupuncture practice I have ever been to.
Dr. Chung is a lovely person. She listens to you as her patient and takes time with the procedure. I have sometimes stayed for more than the scheduled period in treatment with her. I saw Dr. Chung for about 8 sessions regarding stress and anxiety related symptoms. I would like to say that Dr. Chung takes her time to actually explain the procedure to you. She has a very warm personality and makes you feel at home.
She is attentive and also explains to you why you are experiencing some of your symptoms. Her practice is very clean, neat and quiet. I actually always fell asleep right after she started with the procedure. She has helped me tremendously and I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking help from a professional acupuncturist. Her practice is easily accessible on the Upper East Side and I promise you won’t regret if you make an appointment with her. HIGHLY recommended!

I have nothing but positive things to say about the practitioners here. They are very knowledgeable, professional and kind. They provided me with excellent acupuncture services and herbs to help me work on common women’s health issues. They even told me specific tests to ask my medical doctor to run. (Had they not mentioned the specific test, my doctor never would have run the test.) I don’t want to get too specific or detailed but I have found the acupuncture to benefit me. High recommend.

Lizzie S. reviews for BeAti Acupuncture Wellness Clinic:
I’ve been going to Dr. Daniel Yi for acupuncture for about a year now and I can’t say enough good things about him and his team.
I’m big on Chinese medicine and have been getting acupuncture and TCM for 14 years. I’ve tried many different professionals both in NYC and CA and know it’s so important to have a good fit with your acupuncturist.
Daniel has very calm, grounding energy. His techniques work and he’s genuine, honest, humble, trustworthy and talented. He’s gone out of his way many times to accommodate and take care of his patients, from personally procuring special Chinese medicine herbs to fitting me in for last minute appointments. Unlike other clinics i’ve been to, he never tries to push products on you or try to up-sell you on services. When he does recommend something like herbs, I know that he really thinks it’s the best course of action.
He’s been a great asset in helping with a wide range of issues from helping with sleep, balancing hormones, increasing fertility and boosting immunity. I’m currently 8 months pregnant and will most likely see him closer to my due date to help with encouraging a smoother labor and delivery. I always feel better after getting a treatment with him and so it’s no surprise that I recommend him and his team to all my friends. I even got my husband (who’s never really been a TCM kind of person) to start seeing him and he became a fan as well.
Nicole B. says about Manhattan Community Acupuncture:
Jeanette is one of my favorite practitioners in Manhattan. She has helped me with many different ailments, including most notably, getting pregnant. She is supportive and knows exactly what ailments are without me needing to go into too much detail. I have seen acupuncturists before, before Jeanette is the only one who has helped. Her schedule does fill up (duh, she’s amazing!) so schedule ahead of time!

Soyeon C. reviews for Johnny Leung Acupuncture PC:
The best acupuncturist I have had before.
I have eye, back, and neck pains which I had everyday. I have tried other specialists and had done several tests at there. Nothing got better. After Dr. Leung’s treatments, the pain got much better. He also diagnosed other health problems and told me many ways to take care my body(diet stretching exercise). He also gave me medical massage for every session which I think helps body movement.

Ever since I started coming here, strangers approach me all the time to tell me how flawless my skin looks! Stefanie is the best at what she does. Her studio is such a peaceful space, and I love that she doesn’t sell/push any products on you after your treatment. She genuinely cares about your skin and well being. She’s also saved me thousands by reviewing my skincare routine and educating me on unnecessary skin care products that other aestheticians urged me to buy. She should be everyone’s first choice for aging gracefully!!

FAQ For best acupuncture in New York City
HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?
Acupuncture is an ancient medical system originating more than 3000 years ago. This treatment consists of the process of inserting ultra-thin needles, comparable in size to two strands of human hair, into the skin. Generally, the insertion is painless. Once the needles are placed, the body undergoes its own healing process.
The ancient Chinese discovered meridians that circulate Qi (oxygen) and blood in our body. Along these longitudinal lines or meridians are stations of reactive and sensitive sites known as acupuncture points. Each acupuncture point is situated near or on highly reactive nerve bundles.
After the needles are inserted into the acupuncture points, a cascade of mechanisms in the body begin by signaling the central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord) to release anti-inflammatory agents, hormones, endorphins (the body’s natural pain killers,) boosting immunity and increasing blood circulation. Essentially, acupuncture and Chinese medicine is a holistic approach to the treatment of a wide variety of illnesses, from pain to internal disorders.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME BACK?
Every individual’s treatment is different, depending on their condition.
For acute and excruciating pain we recommend 3-7 sessions until pain is resolved.
For long standing chronic pain we recommend at least 2-3 sessions per week for three weeks. Once improvements are noticed and pain has decreased to a low intensity, you may reduce to 1-2 sessions per week as recommended, until symptoms do not reappear or have improved to their maximum recovery potential.
For internal conditions, we recommend at least 2 sessions per week until symptoms are manageable or do not reappear.
Dosage is the key to obtaining consistent results. Much like taking Advil or other painkillers, the effects of medication will eventually taper off and another dose will be required for additional relief. Consistent acupuncture treatments will reestablish homeostasis or balance in the body and promote self healing without the side effects of drugs.
WHAT DOES ACUPUNCTURE TREAT?
Since the 1970’s acupuncture has grown and continues to grow in popularity in the West, particularly for its effectiveness, and has even begun to be introduced in many hospitals. To date, acupuncture is incorporated in most hospitals in China.
