Just wanted to update my review as I continue to come here year after year, and continue to be happy with their nail services. The dipping powder manis are excellent.

During the covid closure they remodeled and updated the entire interior and now everything is lighter and brighter and feels even cleaner. They have new flooring, paint, and lighting, and looks like a new ventilation system as well.
Also, the new woman at the front desk is awesome. Very friendly, helpful, professional, keeps everything organized, and super busy taking phone calls, managing appointment bookings, and running the color books all over. Great improvements!

Stopped by last minute around 2:30 pm today and got a dip mani and gel pedi. Lena was my tech and I’m pretty sure she’s the owner as well. She was really fun, and clearly running a solid business because within five minutes of me coming in they were starting to stack up with walk in appointments. I mentioned I had about an hour before I had to get back to work and Lena was so considerate about making sure to not go over, so I’d not miss work at all. She checked in with customers who were waiting for treatments and continuously answered calls as she worked. This woman does like five jobs at once.

For people who aren’t fans of the vibe: this is an independent AAPI owned business. Maybe we can be cool with not every store culture and owner fitting our cookie cutter view of Minnesota. Personally I love that Lena runs this spot her own way with her own attitude in the middle of a pretty white neighborhood, and she’s killing it!

Oh and duh: my nails are hot.

This place caught my eye because I’m at Trader Joe’s all the time (who isn’t) so I figured I’d give it a try.

I walked in without an appointment and asked a gel manicure. I had to wait only for about fifteen minutes. Nobody heckled me about getting the dip powder or adding on a pedicure which was so nice. I know what I need!

The manicure was super well done, but quick, and the technician was very friendly. She was gentle on my cuticles and didn’t judge me for peeling off my last gel manicure.

They have a ton of colors to choose from, and ask you about shape/length/etc. I think she checked in with me at just about every step to make sure I was happy with what she was doing which was great even though I’m not overly picky.

And like I mentioned, they take payment via Venmo which is honestly a game changer. I will be back!

Huge shout out to my Yelp peeps for helping me find this place! I needed somewhere that was following COVID restrictions to get my nails done before my wedding. What to do? Check out Yelp of of course! Needed somewhere close and so I made an appointment for 4pm on the Friday night before. Of course I was running late because I had to pick up the cake and they still let me show up!

 

They had me wash my hands upon arrival and everyone wore masks the entire time. I was going to do sparkles and she let me know the polish was too thick and wouldn’t dry properly. I decided on a French manicure and am SO HAPPY I did! My nails looked great and the polish stayed on well for much longer than I thought it would. She tried to get me to do gel and that wasn’t happening because I didn’t know if I would be able to go back.

Thanks to all my helpers who helped me find an awesome spot and one day I shall return! I’m going to finally get a pedicure one of these days….

First off, let me say this place is very busy and the wear and tear of the space shows it, but what they lack in cosmetics they make up in service and quality.

I’ve been here 4 times, always with friends/family and at different times of the day. It is ALWAYS busy. Today we went at 1230 and it was packed and it continued to stay busy the entire time we were there. I was getting a pedicure and watched the patrons arrive and never saw anyone wait more than 10 minutes. Which is totally acceptable.

I only get pedicures, so I cannot speak for any of their other services. My first pedi here, about 5 months ago was just the basic $25 one and it was what I expected for $25, my feet were soft, clean and nails were shaped and painted. My friend was equally satisfied.

The next visit I felt like I needed a little extra and spurged and got the deluxe pedi for an additional $10. My friend opted for the same. The extra services include, a longer, full leg massage, sugar scrub, mint mud mask, hot towel wrap and this refreshing misty stuff and more massaging. It is so worth every penny, and I leave ALWAYS wanting more. It’s so amazing.

My friend agreed that it is fabulous.

The 3rd time I went with the same friend and had the same service and it was as awesome as the last time.

Today and my 4th visit was with a different friend and my mom…it was SO busy but they were prompt, helpful and of course the service was excellent. My feet are soft, my nails are perfect and my guests were satisfied.

Things that could be considered ‘cons’ but don’t bother me:

Aging space, definitely in need of updates
Color Organization is lacking
They talk on the phone, to each other, and in other languages.
They are very busy.

But really, try to see past those and go. They stock great polish; China Glaze, OPI, Essie, etc…they use excellent products and really care that you’re satisfied.

Many of the techs are great, but Sonny and Chuck are my faves. They are kind, sweet and very good at their job.

‘ve had a handful of services at Accolades. I discovered this salon as it’s where my mom goes. She’s not a big fan of harsh chemicals and Accolades was the best option in town.

I’ve been for haircuts, colors, highlights, and massages. Every time I’ve been I’m left feeling so impressed. Everyone is phenomenal and they also have Aveda products sold here (including having the tea on site which I get every time lol). 10/10 would recommend!

I love having nails and have gone thru phases of not picking or mutilating myself. I’m actually very good at doing my own nails, I just don’t have nails often enough so I’m usually walking them the world in pain because of the horrid bleeding I cause on all of my nails, and with shame because I know better. And then I hit my limit. I decided I would get some sort of artificial nail for a short while and see what happens.

Well I had a wonderfully welcoming and informative conversation with Mina and made an appointment for natural-looking, sport-length tips and dip.

I highly recommend this place and these women. I’m clearly decent enough with my words, so make sure you’re clear on what you want and be open to what they recommend.

I was blessed to have Lily, Mina, and Lynn all give their attention to my nubs and couldn’t be happier with what I walked away with. And shout out to Kim who was super lovely when I called to tell them I was 15 min
