Best Malaysian restaurants in Phoenix:
AH-SO Sushi & Steak
Laura Z. said about best Malaysian restaurants in Phoenix (Ah-So Sushi & Steak):
We had originally planned to go to a different restaurant but after having such a long wait time elsewhere we decided to try to find somewhere else to eat that would be quicker (date night with a babysitter had us on a time crunch)
As we arrived, we were able to get seated right away.
Our waitress, Riley was fantastic!! Took our order and had everything out promptly, she was attentive and friendly.
We were really impressed with everything on the menu that we had gotten, I love edamame and she had let me know that the garlic edamame was very good and I agree, as for my main dish I got vegetable yakisoba and an avocado roll, which was all great.
My husband had gotten the gyoza and the filet mignon with chicken, he thoroughly enjoyed his meal and we were both happy and stuffed.
It was plenty of food and we even had to take some to go.
But of course I have a sweet tooth and had to get something to satisfy it, I choose the triple mousse as I wanted something light and it was perfect.
We will definitely be going back, it was an amazing date night to start off our year!

There are only a handful of Cambodian restaurants and this one really blew my socks off. It’s a small family-owned restaurant that is very quaint. Mom cooks in the back with exceptional care and attention to detail and her son manage the front end of the business.
Authentic, flavorful, and beautiful. You can tell how much they care about their business and have thought through the experience for the customer.
We got the papaya salad, bbq platter, lemongrass soup, and amok fish. All of it really tasted like a home-cooked meal and didn’t skip a beat in flavor.

FiGaMi Asian Fresh

Great menu, fast & nice service, cleanly atmosphere- What more could you ask for?
I’ve always passed by FiGaMi Asian Fresh on my way to school and finally decided to check it out and was not disappointed at all!
They have sushi, ramen, rice bowls, and appetizers such as spring rolls (Check in on Yelp for a free order of spring rolls, btw!) and edamame.
I got a teriyaki chicken bowl which came with, well, teriyaki chicken… rice, and broccoli. It came out fast and delicious along with the fried spring rolls! The portion size is great for what you pay, too. I only managed to eat half of it and took the rest home!
Can’t wait to come back and try their ramen and sushi!
