Outback Steakhouse
Pax S. says about Outback Steakhouse:
Most of the time when I walk into a restaurant on this feeder road, I expect something dingy and half-ass. I had the pleasure of being served by bartender John today and he made my experience incredible.
I never was without water at the bar, my food updates were on the nose, and he treated both the lady next to me and myself with extraordinary care. In Argentina we would say “con buen atención.” Everything from the kitchen was great. I cannot wait to go back to see John make me another mean old fashioned!

Salt & Time
Ben Runkle started Salt & Time in 2010 and began selling the first artisan dry cured meats produced in Texas at Austin farmers’ markets. A mutual friend introduced him to Bryan Butler and the two set out to open Austin’s first butcher shop committed to sourcing whole animals directly from Texas ranchers. That dream became a reality in February 2013 when they opened Salt & Time Butcher Shop and Salumeria in East Austin.
Eve G. says about Salt & Time:
We had a great meal here. It was one of the special butcher’s cut wagyu steaks I’m sorry I don’t remember which and fries. The steak was cooked to medium rare perfection. Perfect reddish pink in the center and beautifully charred outside. Only thing I could ask for is more fries. Service was prompt and friendly.
I am surprised that there are so many 3 star reviews. The quality of meats on offer is 5 star and the pricing for what they are serving (wagyu beef) is completely reasonable. We (me and my two year old) found the preparation of the meat to be exquisite. Highly recommend you give this place a chance if you have a predilection for gourmet steak.
