Cormier Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center

Cormier Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center

Hoa K. reviews Cormier Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Center:

I love love love Dr. C.  He is the best chiropractor ever!  Believe me! I did research on my Docs before going to them.  I always check the school they attended.  Being from Texas and all..my previous Doc attended chiropractic school in Texas.  Therefore, their techniques will be similar.  Before my appointment, I spoke with Melissa, Dr. C right-hand gal.  She answered all my questions without hesitation.  Very patient and hilarious to talk to!.  I finally meet her and we just hit it off like we have been friends forever!  Loved the feeling of being “home” when I’m there.

Big plus about Dr. C…he is a physical therapist and chiropractor! 2 for 1 deal folks!  Hard to find now!

I came here for my initial neck adjustments…then after I rolled over my car, Dr. C helped me recover without pain medicine.  Lots of hard work, lots of physical therapy and chiropractic adjustments!  Then i twisted my ankle while working in the ICU and he was there to help me heal …. again….till this day, I don’t even take pain medications.

Dr. C has these cool beds that does massages along my spine to help me “loosen” up!  Till this day, three years have passed and I still return to see my family!  Even tho I have moved to NOLA, I would surprise them and return for treatments!! Am I crazy? Maybe or maybe i just love my team that much that I would still drive 2.5 hours to visit them and get an adjustment.

BTW for maintenance adjustments, join the chiropractor patient membership and save more than 50% per adjustments.

Will always come back no matter how far I move LOL.

FAQ for best acupuncture in Mobile, Alabama

When should you not use acupuncture?

Two specific contraindications deserve special mention: patients with an AICD should avoid any electromagnetic stimulation that might be used as a form of acupuncture. Also, it is not recommended that patients that suffer or are predisposed to suffer from psychosis or delusions undergo acupuncture as well.

What is the disadvantage of acupuncture?

The risks of acupuncture are low if you have a competent, certified acupuncture practitioner using sterile needles. Common side effects include soreness and minor bleeding or bruising where the needles were inserted. Single-use, disposable needles are now the practice standard, so the risk of infection is minimal.

What happens to your body during acupuncture?

How does acupuncture affect the body? Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Is acupuncture good or bad for you?

There is evidence that acupuncture may help relieve seasonal allergy symptoms, stress incontinence in women, and nausea and vomiting associated with cancer treatment. It may also help relieve symptoms and improve the quality of life in people with asthma, but it has not been shown to improve lung function.

Why can’t you shower after acupuncture?

The intense heat from Sauna and bath is considered an extra stimulation that may undo the energy reset.

What acupuncture Cannot treat?

There are no specific diseases that cannot be treated with acupuncture. However, there are certain contraindications of needle insertion based on the location of the acupoint or health status of the patient.

What is high risk of acupuncture?

Possible acupuncture risks are Bleeding, bruising, and soreness may occur at the insertion sites. Unsterilized needles may lead to infection. In rare cases, a needle may break and damage an internal organ.

How long does it take for acupuncture to work?

Generally, after 30 minutes of treatment, you should feel something working. The time needed for it to work depends on what medical problem is being treated and the type of acupuncture used.

What is the controversy with acupuncture?

The notion that acupuncture points should be defined “energetically,” rather than anatomically is controversial. This concept is linked to the idea that acupuncture points could correspond to areas of decreased electrical resistance compared with surrounding tissues, like nodes on an electrical grid.

Why do I cry after acupuncture?

Since acupuncture addresses the root cause of a condition, the process can cause repressed emotions to surface. You may be quicker to cry or notice yourself feeling more sentimental than usual. In general, emotions—good or bad—are felt more intensely. This is a good thing.
