Dr. Kerry Nelson

Dr. Nelson is a native Texan, being born in Houston and growing up in Central Texas. He began working in the dental industry in high school in a dental lab, meeting many local dentists that encouraged his path. After earning a BS in Chemistry, he worked in clinical cancer research at Scott and White Hospital where he studied and learned many facets of patient care as well as the intricacies of research. He continued his cancer research at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2001.

Since Dental School, he has owned and operated the Westlakes Family Dental clinic for 17 years, while still contributing to the UT school with part-time faculty work in the Department of Clinical Dentistry. He continues to serve the under served in dental missions to Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, and El Salvador, as well as supervising dental students in inner city missions in San Antonio.

Dr. Levi Jurich, or Dr. J. as he is affectionately known by both his team and patients alike, was born and raised in the Big Sky state of Montana.

In 1999 Dr. Jurich graduated from Fairfield High School located in Central Montana before spending two years in Spain on a mission for his church. As a result of this trip Dr. J is fluent in Spanish and fell in love with the Spanish culture.

Dr. J. received his bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2007 from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas while enrolling in the dental program that same year. He graduated from UNLV’s School of Dental Medicine in 2011.

After graduation, Dr. Jurich moved to Tyler, Texas, and began practicing dentistry at Fresh Dental in both the Tyler and Longview offices. I came in for a wisdom tooth and my appointment has been set for within the week that I visited. It’s crazy I don’t have to wait a whole month for a dentist that comes “once a month” like other dentists.
This place really had me in and out within 30 minutes.
I’m extremely impressed and got to say this staff seems as professional as can be!

Just had a cleaning today at this clinic. I have a high degree of anxiety about dental work. The oral hygienist I saw today at Dr Najars (my apologies, most likely misspelling Dr Najar), Terrell Hills clinic is the best I have ever seen. Unfortunately I do not remember her name but she was great. Very patient, informative, gentle, and thorough.

She pointed out potential problem areas I was not even aware of. She is new to this office but has quickly established herself as a significant asset.
Also Dr Najar is one of the best dentists I have seen In my 67 yrs of life. This office has done alot of work on my teeth, to include full upper implants. I have never been anything but completely satisfied with their work and professionalism.

I hate going to the dentist probably more than most folks but the professionals at Terrill Hills dental always make me feel like I’m the most important person there. Thank you Dr Najar for always making me feel comfortable, welcome and confident I can trust you and your staff to provide the utmost in quality dental care.
I have noticed a couple of reviews mentioned frequent employee turnover. I have noticed this as well, particularly of the administrative personnel.

I would contribute this to Dr Najar demanding top professional performance from his staff. Some folks don’t like to work that hard. I personally have never had any problems with anyone at this clinic.

Dr. Chew and her lovely staff will take care of you! Rest assure, however their office is only open on Wednesday-Fridays and two weekends in a month.

Environment: Very clean and modern. They take COVID precautions very seriously, prior to your appointment they will have you fill out a form for any signs and symptoms.
Each patient room has a molecule purifier (I could be wrong, but the rooms that I have been into have these) and dual TVs (both on the ceiling and on the wall).

Location: Located in the Pearl/Downtown area, I was scared that parking was going to be hectic, but they have a parking structure for their patients within a close walking distance and if you’re lucky they have street parking as well.

Staff: Everyone is so friendly and professional, overall you can tell how happy the employees are because they always give the best customer service.

Cleaning: Their process is very thorough and detailed. My first visit took almost 1.5 hours, they really take the time to check your baseline teeth and gum health.

Overall, Dr. Chew is a wonderful dentist and I would highly recommend her to all my friends and family.
