Used a free clinic in buffalo ny- (Adams Mark hotel) for covid testing. It was walk in so first come first served, you’ll wait a bit but that’s expected due to high demand of testing. I can’t comment on the results or turnaround time but the process was clean and seamless. Register on your phone while in line. Waited only 10 mins to be tested and got my rapid results in 20. Hopefully the pcr comes back quick.

This location is inside the office building on the second floor. If you park in the garage, you can walk right into the 2nd floor hallway from there & quest is just steps away. Also just steps off the elevator. Validated parking in the garage is a discounted rate is $3 up to an hour.
The front waiting area is pretty spacious (nice during flu season) so you aren’t sitting right on top of each other. The walls though- man Quest that neon limeade color on the walls got me feeling a little queezy & I DONT have the flu 😉 Hydration station for water and plenty of magazines, medical flyers, and a tv.
The entire facility that I came into contact appeared absolutely spotless. The staff was incredibly professional and kind. My blood draw was nearly completely painless. They allowed me to pay a small balance with a credit card right there without acting like payment was an inconvenience (like the former location I visited who told me I had to call to pay.)
As far as blood draws go, this was a five-star experience. I’ll be back!

So the missus and I bought a fixer upper a while back. The time came to rip out a bathroom and I think to myself, “Huh, this house was built in the 1950’s. I wonder if there are any toxic nasty bits that will get into my lungs/blood/brain and kill me… How do I find that out?”
The internet presented several options; just risk it and probably die, get a kit from a big box store and mail samples across the country and get results in like months, hire crazy expensive experts who oh-by-the-way also happen to be experts in the removal of toxic nasty bits for thousands and thousands of dollars (yeah, no conflict-of-interest there…), or after pages and pages of search results, do the right thing: find a local, independent, NIST-accredited lab that only runs tests and doesn’t try to sell you a dang thing. Score.
The NIST website said there are a handful of such labs in the area. I even called a few of them. I went with MTL because they were super nice to me when I called. They answered all of my questions.
They made sure I wasn’t going to do anything stupid like rip out a chunk of wall without a mask just to get a sample.
They gave me a great quote over the phone. When asked how soon I needed results, I straight up guessed, “Umm, like a week?” to which they responded, ‘Pff, yeah, we’ll have these in 24 hours.” OK. Cool.
Here’s where it got really good. I collect my samples, zip down the highway, find the place without getting lost once, and land free street parking just down the block. They buzz me in the door and say, “Oh, hi, you must be the guy who called.
Show us what you’ve got.” To be certain that everything was in order, they ran my samples back to the lab right then and there and came back two minutes later and said they could work with everything.
I fill out the form, cut them a check for exactly what they quoted, and I’m gone. In and out in ten minutes tops. It’ll be five next time when I know what I’m doing.
Flash forward six hours, my phone dings and the report is in my inbox. Same day processing. The report is easy to read and comprehend.
It had a little glossary that explained the terminology. I geeked out over this part, in addition to testing for toxic nasty bits, the report gives percentages of the other materials in the composition of my samples. Neat! I wasn’t expecting that.
All in all, absolutely every aspect of this process clicked into place and I was delightfully surprised by how easy it was. If you are remodeling an old house, there is no reason not to run these tests. I will definitely come back to MTL the next time we undertake a remodeling project.

I’ve been trying to get my daughter bloodwork (NOT covid related) for months!! It’s been impossible to find a clinic that takes orders from multiple doctors (like I had), one that I didn’t feel like I was walking into a Petri dish and one where I felt like a human and not a number.
We went to InOut labs in Morton Grove and can I just say what an AMAZING experience we had! I spoke with a live human here multiple times (Aileen) prior to going and she reassured me, took her time and talked to me as to what to expect.
We made an appointment and we were the only ones there. They don’t take insurance but we knew this ahead of time and obviously we can submit for insurance later.
We just went to get her blood drawn and after prepping our daughter for weeks, I can just say she did amazing! The lady there are even had some little toys for her that you know she probably went and bought on her own in anticipation of My daughter coming.

I am bumping my rating up to five stars due to my experience here today. The medical assistant, Chalena Wachadlo is one of the kindest humans I have met in a long time. I came in here a half hour after the office opened with a hand injury that I had sustained.
The evening before I had slapped on some bandaids, but in the cold light of day, I knew that I needed a higher level of care. Chalena exhibited compassion, calm, and professionalism. I had not been in a hospital-like setting for a while and was concerned about how my experience would be during the still ongoing pandemic.
Everything was clean and there was plenty of sanitizer around. I even was able to request a paper medical mask when the one I was wearing malfunctioned. I did not book my appointment online, due to the emergency nature of the visit, but had in the past and recommend the system for its ease and efficiency.
