Dr. Emily Shekarabi attended the University of Georgia in Athens where she earned degrees in Chemistry and French. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her pediatric residency at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Emily is deeply invested in her family and her church. A Nashville native and gradudate of Hume-Fogg High School, Dr. Austin Whitaker is excited to be practicing pediatrics in his hometown. After graduating with a degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Dr. Whitaker received his medical degree from the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
He completed his pediatrics residency at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. In November 2017, Dr. Whitaker and his wife Rachel welcomed twins Caroline and Anderson.
