I was referred to Gold Refinery of SD by a coin and bullion seller who only traded in those products. They referred me to Gold Refinery and said that they were one of the more reputable buyers in San Diego.
What most impressed me at Gold Refinery was the manager (I cannot recall her name). She was very professional and friendly. After giving me a quote, which I accepted, she did a scratch test and double-checked all the pieces. It turned out that tarnish on the jewelry gave a false reading and two of the pieces were 18 kt instead of 14 kt. This meant more money for me.
I bring this up because she could have said nothing and I would not have been any the wiser. It speaks a lot to the integrity of the staff and it merits 5 stars.
